A-Level Physics taught by a physicist.
One-to-one tuition in A-Level Physics and Maths, and preparation for the ESAT admissions test for Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial and UCL. Taught by a UCL PhD in superconducting nanoelectronics who has taught at university level since 2002. Online, and in person in Slough.
Most A-Level physics students are taught to remember. The ones who do well are taught to understand — and then taught, separately and deliberately, how to turn that understanding into marks.
I am Dr Sajid Saleem. I hold a PhD from University College London in superconducting nanoelectronics and have taught physics, mathematics and engineering at university level since 2002.
That background matters most exactly where students struggle: fields, capacitance, quantum phenomena, nuclear physics — the topics where a tutor working from a textbook runs out of depth at the point the student needs more of it.

What I teach
A-Level Physics and Maths
Termly programmes of twelve weekly sessions. Every student begins with a written diagnostic assessment and a written report to you.
ESAT Preparation
A two-phase programme from Year 12 to the October sitting, for applicants to Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial and UCL.
Getting started
Every enquiry begins with a free thirty-minute consultation. I will assess where your child is, tell you honestly whether I can help, and say so if I cannot.
